If you have not seen Kanji until now, you are most likely very new on renshuu. But as you write your name in Kanji, I have a suspicion you might be quite advanced in japanese (using other means). As
ポールおじちゃん already told you about "manage schedules", explaing the schedule setup is maybe in order.
Basically, when you sign up, you are asked how much Japanese you already know. Unfortunately, the question does not tell you how renshuu will translate the answer into which schedules are activated.
An absolute beginner will start with Hiragana, then Katakana (or so I read, I did not do these scedules).
Then there are the "basic" schedules for words and grammar.
Then there are the "beginner" schedules, words, grammar, and for the first time Kanji (this is where I started out). After finishing them, you should be able to do the JPLT N5 test if you inclined to do so.
Then there are further schedules for words, grammar, Kanji related to higher JPLT levels (N4 -> N1)
You can (and I did) create word lists and add the lists to schedules, and I very much recommend to make up your own schedules where to add your own words. (Kanji work the same. Grammar might be a bad idea...) This feature is great if you want to syncronize your learning in a course or book to renshuu. With time this will cause some overlap as you advance, and more words are unlocked on renshuu as well as your own schedule, but renshuu is good at handling this overlap without overwhelming you.
