So when I finish a schedule I merge it into a Collective Schedule ( an example was when I have finished basics and N5 grammar and am working on N4 I merge basics and n5 into a "grammar" schedule) this keeps the dashboard clean but I lose the ability to focus on particular lessons for any merged schedules and have to create repeat schedule to focus review certain lessons. I'm not sure if it would be a variable handling nightmare, but id like to have a list that details all lessons like we do for individual grammar schedules but also included into the merges if we ever want to go back and review past lessons without have to re-create the schedules.

It’s already there. Look into the difference between schedules and lists (Ressources > Community Lists).
Each lesson or chunk of terms should be a list. A schedule is a selection of lists. You can alter schedules via Settings > Add/remove material.
As long as you organize all your terms in lists and not directly in schedules, you can easily grab parts again. I believe all renshuu schedules are built from many rather short lists based on a specific grammar/lesson/level aspect. You can use and organize those lists in your own schedules. You don’t lose the opportunity to pick chunks or lessons from there.
In case, I understood you wrong and you know that already… there’s also the option to do a review directly on a list (could be a lesson) (Ressources > Community Lists)… maybe that’s what you look for?

For October, I'd like to spend some time expanding and improving one of the most popular parts of renshuu's quizzing system, the Focused Review. I've gotten various suggestions over the last couple of years, but I'd like to gather them all in one thread. What you can add in this thread:
1. New ideas for changing/expanding/adding to the Focused Review system 2. Links to previously mentioned requests that you feel should be considered.
Any comments related to other features on renshuu will be removed.
It would be great to have an option to show only jap to eng written questions, and not have them mixed with quizzes

I can respond to #1. Most missed can be problematic - not in programming, but in the effect. Focused reviews affect review dates. If something was scheduled 4 days away, and then it's one day from being reviewed, a focused review will push it back out 4 days again, and repeatedly doing this will make it harder to actually advance the mastery level (despite studying it).
Now, this effect exists for all focused reviews, but pinpointing "most missed" kind of hones in on the ones most likely to be coming up soon, and then repeatedly pushing them away :(
I’m not sure that I agree. While it is true that this would prevent terms from showing up in reviews for a bit, it would only be for the amount of time where you are missing the term often enough for it to be one of your “most missed”. Once its been studied correctly often enough, it will stop showing up in the reviews.
I usually like to use the focused review to do a big test and review everything I’ve learned! I would like if there was an easy button to say "review all" or something like that, instead of guessing a big number. But it’s still good either way
out of my habits with learning kanji: i would like an option to rotate through all kanji in a schedule in a given timeframe or a batch size. e.g: i would set it to 100 and for the current day it would only serve me questions from the first 100 (or any random 100) in the schedule. the next day it would be the next 100 (or random 100 from the remaining). at the end of the schedule it would just start again from the beginning.
that way i could make sure they all get the attention they deserve without worrying too much about duplication/unlucky randomness.
on the topic of wording: personally, i don't use "missed recently" because i'm confused if these are entries i haven't had studied recently or if these are entries i got wrong recently.
i think i asked for this a while ago, but please make more specific vector specification for kanji focused reviews! For example, i'd like to only study meaning --> kanji, but can't. thanks!

The thing is when I want to review the letters and words that the system tags as "... to review" and i just choose the normal review option, sometimes the whole review session doesn't cover everything that it tags like that (For example, today i have 50 words need to be reviewed, yet the review session only covers around 35 of them) hope this might help improving the review session
There are days I just want to review and not include new words, but there is no option to review the set of words due today without fist studying the new words (or changing lesson config to set new words per day to 0 temporarily). Would be nice to have as a focus review option

It exists. Tap on the three dots for a schedule, tap on settings, tap more settings and check the box that says „Don‘t learn new terns until daily review is finished“.

You can either do multiple reviews on one schedule or change your limits. There is a daily review limit and also a quiz size.
You find all options for a schedule when you tap the three dots > settings > more settings.

This options exists. Go to the settings of the vocabulary schedule. There‘s the „Meaning -> Japanese“ vector. Uncheck it to get more options (there’s a tappable ? next to that option explaining this). Then uncheck all options for learning vectors except for „Meaning -> Kanji“.
for me, focused review-missed today mode is necessary . But triggering this mode on each schedule I have learnt on "today" is problematic and time-consuming.
I think a button to review all missed schedules on today would help me a lot.
Some sort of filter to allow *only terms that need to be reviewed* for the focused review would be nice.
For example, let's say my reviews are piling up a bit because I take a bit of a break. I have about 200 or 300 words that could be reviewed in a day to increase their mastery level, but only have a limit of 120 as a "daily study goal". So what if there was an option to focus on the review terms that have the lowest mastery, or were learned recently, while ensuring I only focus on terms that need to be reviewed?
I would imagine it could be some sort of checkbox, "Only include terms that need to be reviewed" or something similar, when you're creating a focused review quiz. And I imagine this as an optional filter that stacks with the existing focused review types and not as a replacement for them.
Forgive me if something like this already exists, I just have thought to myself when doing review, "I wish I could target words that are lower in mastery first"!
I don't know if this is possible already, but I'd like to have a schedule which I can review or have a quiz covering *all* of the included words or kanji in a completely random order without the use of SRS, no matter if I have seen or learned them before, and without increasing or lowering the mastery level. It's just some form of word or kanji quiz in a completely random order without wanting to learn them.
I think it would be nice if "missed recently" did not repeat the same vocab over and over again. If I initially go through 10 questions, then I want my next round with 10 questions to be different from the previous round. So some type of batching would be great
I have an odd system I came up with called the "failure bootcamp" deck where if I have to look up a word and I find it's already learned and deep in the system, I add it to that deck. I purely use focused review on that deck to drill those until I'm comfortable with them, then I kick them out again.
Having a way to mark a word in the dictionary as "in need of review" would be great, where we could focus review them in batch. Then maybe once they're answered correctly say 3 times in a row, they're removed from review.
The number one thing i always wish for is a way to "focused review" all schedules combined rather than one at a time. I guess that's not really "focused" anymore lol, but sure would be nice.
