I would say you should still do the reviews of older grammar lessons. I noticed I get that warning even if the quiz is only set up for review and not to add new ones to learn. No reason to let the reviews pile up, but don't learn the new ones until you have the vocab.

My grammar schedule is actually going faster now than vocab and it works fine for me. So choose whatever feels more comfortable to you

I recommend practicing the vocabulary whenever you can, preferably before the grammar lesson at least it works for me hehe
