I am looking for a struggle buddy—somebody to talk to, to vent to, and to give and receive support while studying.
I am not very into Discord, so you won't really find me there.
Objectives:
Exchange help and questions about grammar.
Share discoveries of grammar and other interesting things about the Japanese language and culture.
Have someone who knows the struggle.
Upfront:
The bridge language is English (or Italian). I am an old cat lady :D I am in my 40s, so if you feel I am too old to be your struggle buddy, at least you know.
I think it will a bit difficult here unfortunatly.
On the other hand, if you don't like discord, you could try VRChat and more specifically, the EN-JP Language exchange world. You may meet natives who knows the struggle =p. Or even an Italian (I met one a long time ago who were trying to learn Japanese). There is also all of kind of people there, from all age (I met a 70 years old Japanese woman once). I know some people who are there only to learn languages. And don't even play games.
Oh and once you met some nice people, you can vent. I do at least and currently mainly on pronounciation in spoken casual japanese. Last one was about:
なんねんだ
You may think it's 何年だ but nah, that would be too easy :D It was:
ならないんだ (-> ならねぇんだ -> ならねんだ -> なんねんだ )
But when I listened to that one, it sounded like なぁねんだ or something (hiragana don't match exactly). Anyway, struggle buddy are important Hope you find one!
So I discovered to my dismay that DMs are not possible. Uhm... what can I do? I hope I don't get kicked off this platform, but my IG is **Sasayaki18**. So, Ken, struggle buddy, see you there!
