Hi, a while ago I did a similar post but it was about the kanji N1 schedule and how I was done with it. I asked recommendations on what to study next, and Compyon actually suggested I study the Non-Joyou kanji schedule, which is what I'm doing right now.
This time around though I am finally done with the renshuu made N1 schedule for vocab, what should I study next for vocab? Of course I do plan to keep making myself schedules based on Japanese content I consume, but I like to have a back up. Anyone got any suggestions?
Maybe schedule "Often in newspapers" (23,776) or "Common words" (29,828) from Advanced Search? I'm not sure where to find them in Community Lists.
You can also combine them for 40,187 terms. I'm not sure exactly what's in there, but it can't be less "useful" than what's in N1 right?
@RinkuRinku : How much total time did it took you to finish N1 word schedule?
Congrats btw! 🔥🪽🍀
Personally I would recommend "Kanshudo 10k" Community List. Most of the terms are already covered in JPLT lists, but the amount of new ones is by no means small. I am still in the middle of getting through it since my reviews piled up and I got stuck. But considering the fact that it includes "10,000 most usefull words" or something along the way, it helped me reduce number of times I had to search for the word manually.
Also adding tagged terms to schedule via Advanced Search seems to be a good alternative, but maybe grasping what News/Web 10k has to offer here would be my first choice.
Most of the new vocabulary I encounter still needs to be learnt without made beforehand lists, as those phrases are simply speaking not common. Here Reading Buddy -> schedule comes in handy. Additionally I can also suggest learning some 四字熟語 and idiomatic expressions in general, as their meaning tend to baffle me, when I come across ones I have yet to learn.

Ohhhh yeah 四字熟語 is definitely something I want to study. Do you have any community schedule here in renshuu for it that you recommend?

Looking at their stats, it looks like 8 months. Average ~380 new words a month. Assuming all/most of the vocab was from the N1 schedule.
Everyone has their own pace, try not to worry too much about how fast other people are going :)

I have studied using list called "Common 四字熟語". It offers a few hundred phrases split by frequency.
