Hi!
The other day just out of curiosity I launched the game directed by Goichi Suda "Killer7" in Japanese (one of my favourites directed by him, but I digress), and I noticed that the verb 殺す has と as furigana instead of ころ. So I checked on Renshuu but I coudn't find this reading anywhere, even by enabling the All Words filter. I then remembered that the verb 取る could also mean "to get rid of ", so I assumed this could be a case where the furigana is actually a linguistic pun. Is 取る the actual verb being involved in this context? 
Sorry if my question includes these not so nice verbs, I apologize. 
I think one of the most famous puns could be the one related to the 悪魔城/Castlevania game for PC-Engine, 血の輪廻, where RINNE has ロンド as Furigana intead.
Does anyone know any other furigana puns coming from either VGs or other media? I'd be interested and intrigued to hear them!

I found it. I believe that's 殺る with a 義訓 swap of や → と (from 取る). It forces a more violent meaning visually. You're meant to read it as 取って, but the use of the 殺 kanji adds semantic emphasis. Unless I'm missing something, you were basically correct

To be fair I was a bit conscious about attaching an ingame picture, given it's a M/+18 rated game and since I'm also fairly new to both Renshuu and the forum. 
I don't know if you're into gaming or if you've ever heard about this game before, but below the gory and pulp surface I think there's plenty of interesting and smart subtext as well about History, sociopolitical commentary and Japanese/Chinese folclore.

I've always been more of a PC gamer so I'm not super familiar with console games from that time period. There is a PC version so I might check it out. 
PS: As long as the picture itself doesn't contain anything that's "overly offensive/NSFW" it should be fine. The sentence itself isn't a problem at all. You can find similar example sentences for 殺る and 殺す.
So I just played a bit more and I noticed a couple of things. The first one is that when characters use the "damage passive" (that's how my former Japanese Grammar professor would call it in Italian) the verb reading goes back to its "standard" form, (the speaker is a ghost, hence why the furigana is in kata).
Also, Harman is a key character in the story, but it's so cool that his name becomes "boss, chief", 大将, in kanji. 
Oh, and your note about あんた nails it, it makes perfect sense this character is using this variant considering what happened.
