So it has been decided I would be going to Japan on a 10 day trip with my mom starting October 14th, this is an early birthday present from my mom.

In our trip we will go to Nintendo Museum, and our travel agent will try his best (or has already) to make us enter. As far as I know, getting into Nintendo museum isn't just you pay and go in, it's apparently more complicated, but our travel agent will take care of this for us.

For anyone that went, without spoiling too much, how should I make the best of this experience? Any specific places in the museum should I look into? Advices? I'm a a die hard Nintendo fan and I especially like Zelda so this is literally something I won't and cannot miss out on. I want to make sure I enjoy every bit of this travel and of course, Nintendo Museum. Oh also since this is a museum are pictures even allowed? Honestly I don't see much of Nintendo museum stuff online.

There's a ticket lottery you enter three months prior to your visit. If you get a ticket you just pay for it and you're good to go. If you don't, you can still directly purchase canceled or unclaimed tickets leading up to the day before your visit.

I assume your travel agent is going to handle all of that, so you don't need to worry about it.

When you enter you get 10 digital coins you can spend on the interactive exhibits (not enough for all of them). The exhibition area should have plenty of Zelda, but I don't know the specifics. There's an art gallery featuring original character artwork and development materials. That's probably something you'd want to check out.

The Hanafuda craft/play room requires a reservation on the day of your visit and a separate fee. Seems pretty cheap, and could be fun.

For pictures, the FAQ states: "In Exhibition Building 1, photography is allowed in the interactive exhibits area but not in the exhibition area."

That's all I know / could find. Hopefully someone who's gone before can give you more information. There's plenty of time :)

I see, glad everything was planned before hand, I knew about the lottery system but didn't know it was 3 months prior the visit! Thanks for the comment, I'll keep all of that in mind.

everything that he said, but also so u kno, for lot of places u can buy "scalp" tickets on resale QR code on phone through apps like klook (not an advertisement btw, there are many sites like this), but it does not work for places like nintendo museum because some lotteries are tied to your ID card like passport, which is why u cant get resold tickets for there. if u dont have japanese phone number it can be hard reserving certain things if ur first time in japan so best to have ur travel agent handle these things probably if u dont know how to do it. thats usually for places like concerts all in japanese site with japanese phone number, but nintendo popular with foreigner too and they have english site for lottery so u can use this https://museum-tickets.nintendo.com/en . i recommend that u double check for all places u are thinking of visiting in japan. tourism is so high past few years that many places where long time ago u could just walk in u cannot anymore. i dont like planning things in advance but for japan u have to now for major attractions. u should both have nice trip! kao_heart.png

also if u want to buy physical tickets for things that are upcoming when u are in japan, u can buy tickets at machines in convenience store like family mart. its like kiosk and u can buy ticket for all kinds of things even disney land. in places where not allowed to take photos or something, usually thats art museum because flash can damage things that arent behind special type of glass. for others not big deal, even if u take photo and not allowed other people are doing it neway and the only bad thing is you will be told to stpo and u apologise.

remember this concept of 「より」and u will not worry
