What do you need apps for? Renshuu has pretty much everything you would need to get good at Japanese for free. I'm using Renshuu and Wanikani mainly at the moment, and it's working fine for me. Is there anything specific you're looking for?

Renshuu isn't everything. There are some shortcomings. It's a valid question to ask whenever someone has a niche they want to fill.
I think duo would just be waisting space on your device.
For kanji I use Kanji Dojo, you can write the kanji on your phone. There are already lists of kanji for jlpt and you can build your own lists. You can also write kana it this app. I also use japanese dictionary Takoboto, it works offline too.
@ZZbradaraldjan thank you for recommending Kanji Dojo and Takoboto. I haven't had the chance to test Takoboto, but I'm testing out Kanji Dojo. I've been looking for an app to learn Kanji and I've heard of wanikani, but I get lost (maybe I'm not using the website correctly). But with Kanji Dojo I love that it has options of either learning style N5 etc or Grade 1 etc. I want to learn in the grade style because I want to start reading manga like ドラえもん and then eventually upgrade to higher level like shounen jump. Thank you for recommending this app.

You Can try finding an app in playstore. It is an app where you can install most apps for free.
Wagotabi is awesome and plays like a game but it’s 90% in Japanese!
Wow. I remember working on a language learning game like this back in the eighties. Kinda fun to see the ideas are still kicking.
