Hello! Really enjoying Renshuu, so much that I even got pro, but something has been bugging me and I couldn’t figure how to fix it.

Im getting my kanji level up so vocab is starting to show up with out the furigana (which I love, no complaints here) but some vocab are starting to show up as weird amalgams of kana and kanji

Like べん or こう or something like that

and it’s really bugging me since no sane person would actually spell it like this.

Any options I can mess around with? I think I prefer if it’s full kanji but with furigana for the kanji that’s not yet learned.

This should do what you want.

Actually, a lot of textbooks do this (especially Japanese textbooks) :)

But that aside, your comment is quite natural and understood!

ポール's suggestion will handle it anywhere outside of the questions themselves. As to getting furigana like that in question, it's a feature that is being worked on.

Gotcha, I’ll take it as a challenge to better my Japanese then. :D

I think this was extra confusing for me since I’m a native Chinese speaker and I already understand most of the meanings attached to kanji (even though I don’t necessarily know how to pronounce them) and I originally feel that if one of the words are in kanji form why not convert all to kanji, but I can see the reasoning behind doing it the way it is done.

Nihongo sure is a な language with all the systems going on
