So is it Ichi ni san shi go or Ichi ni san yon go?

Whichever you feel more comfortable with. They mean the same thing.

So, I found the same question on a few platforms, and the general consensus among native speakers seems to be this:

When saying numbers from 1 to 10 continuously
"Ichi, Ni, San, Shi, Go, Roku, Shichi, Hachi, Kyu, Ju"

When counting backwards from 10 to 1
"Ju, Kyu, Hachi, Nana, Roku, Go, Yon, San, Ni, Ichi"


Might be a regional thing, or just what feels best to most Japanese people. I wouldn't worry about it.
