You can certainly get by without upgrading, but the added features help with adding some flavor to your experience. You won’t get easily bored with the pro features because there’s a variety.
It gives you a variety of new grammar question like 10000+, you can also schedule new grammar conjugations ! Lifetime one is especially helpful. You can also expand your crosswords and new islands in the quick draw one. I am happy I got it.
Worth the money or not is subjective I think. I do not care much of its pro features but I am grateful to find Renshuu in my journey of learning Japanese and happy to support it.
